In Georgia, the state of emergency extended until May 22, 2020

The state of emergency in Georgia, introduced due to the threat of the spread of coronavirus, was extended until May 22, said Advisor to the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Chikovani.

The decision to extend the emergency will come into force after the signing of the document by Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili. Previously it was reported to extend the regime until May 10.

Chikovani also announced that the ban on the movement with cars was extended until April 27.

The government said that the peak of coronavirus in the country is expected within 2-3 weeks, after which it will be possible to remove several restrictions.
