The family of the leader of the ruling party “Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia” donated one hundred million lari (over $ 31.5 million) to the StopCoV fund.
The amount in the StopCoV fund increased late at night and was reflected on a dedicated website of the Georgian government.
Before data update, the amount of the collected amount was about 24 million GEL (more than 7.5 million dollars) and then increased to 124 million 543 thousand 899 GEL (more than 39.2 million dollars).
The Chairman of the Cartu Foundation Nikoloz Chkhetiani confirmed this information.
“The donation of the Ivanishvili family to StopCoV is one hundred million lari. A few days ago, Mr Bidzina Ivanishvili credited one hundred million lari to the Cartu Foundation specifically for the StopCoV fund and this amount has already appeared on the account of the coronavirus foundation”, said Chkhetiani.
