Giorgi Gakharia laid flowers in memory of those killed on April 9, 1989

Today Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia visited Rustaveli Avenue near the parliament and laid flowers in memory of those killed on April 9, 1989.

Press service of the government administration has distributed photos of the prime minister with flowers that he, like other Georgian citizens, left near a construction fence. After the new year, Tbilisi City Hall closed the territory in front of the parliament for reconstruction and it is currently impossible to approach the memorial to victims of April 9.

Judging by the pictures, the prime minister came to the square alone, accompanied by a photographer, without other cabinet members.
