Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia delivers humanitarian cargo to Marneuli

The Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia delivered humanitarian aid to Marneuli.

600 packs of humanitarian aid will be handed out to the residents in need of Bolnisi and Marneuli, First Channel of Georgia reports.

Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia Dursun Hasanov said that the event is held in the name of friendship between Georgia and Azerbaijan.

“We are conducting a charity event on the initiative of the president of Azerbaijan. The action began yesterday. Today we are in Marneuli. We will do the same in Rustavi, Gardabani, Kakheti, Tbilisi, Shida-Kartli. We have one goal — to fight the coronavirus with all our might. I know this will end soon. The Georgian government will do everything for this,” said Dursun Hasanov.

Since March 22, strict quarantine has been established in Marneuli and Bolnisi regions due to the threat of an outbreak of coronavirus. Two municipalities, where 200 thousand people live, were declared as “red zone”.
