Georgia has begun developing a new method for treating patients with coronavirus using blood plasma of recovered people, the press service of the Center for Infectious Pathology, AIDS and Clinical Immunology of Georgia reports.
The work is carried out together with the blood and plasma centre «Hemoline». The development requires heavy preparatory work, as well as the use of modern technologies. Doctors have already managed to produce several plasma samples of recovered people.
In Georgia on April 19, a total of 394 cases of coronavirus were confirmed, four patients died, 86 recovered.
