Excess fuel supply was accumulated in Georgia due to two factors, the head of the Union of Petroleum Importers of Oil Products Vano Mtvralashvili said.
“Georgian companies, taking advantage of lower prices for oil products on the world market, were able to create significant reserves. Besides, fuel sales have recently fallen in Georgia. In April, we had a two-week quarantine, and during this period the demand for fuel was completely absent,” Mtvralashvili said.
