17 million lari fined during the state of emergancy

Over 28 days of the state of emergency and curfew, Georgian law enforcement officials issued fines totalling 17,025,000 lari (about $ 5.3 million).

Over the indicated period, a total of 5,639 fines were issued, most of which (2,567) were for curfew violation.

Next on the list are non-compliance with passenger transportation rules (1,669) and violations of the ban on assembly of more than three people in a public place and violation of the 2-meter social distance (1,310).

70 citizens fell under the sanction for violation of isolation rules. As for unauthorized economic activity 4 individuals and 9 legal entities were fined, says the data from the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia.
