In Georgia, there has been a decrease in the growth rate of detected cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection, despite an increase in the number of testing rates for COVID-19, reports the director of the First University Clinic of the Tbilisi State Medical University Levan Ratiani.
“In the recent period, there have been fewer cases of coronavirus infection nationwide, even though the number of tests has increased,” the head doctor said.
He added that such statistics pleased both him and the medical staff of the capital’s clinic.
It is worth noting that in Georgia, as of May 6, over the past day, six new cases of coronavirus infection were detected and a total of 269 cases of recovery. In total, 610 infection cases were recorded in the country.
